Coastal Duet Gallery is a virtual website. The paintings are created by artist Sue Morrison and the Photographic Art by Ted Morrison. Together Sue and Ted share a passion for the natural beauty that is present throughout the west coast extending from Central California to North West Washington and Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Coastal Duet Studio presents paintings by Sue Morrison and photographic art of Ted Morrison. Sue and Ted share a mutual interest in exploring weathered villages along the western coast line from central California to the state of Washington and beyond. A ferry ride from Anacortes WA to Nainamo, Vancouver Island in British Columbia offers a vast resource to explore and capture wildlife on film and canvas. Sue captures the essence of what she sees in her work on canvas and paper.  She paints seascapes, landscapes and wildlife using vibrant and rich colors. Sue is appreciated for the way she paints critters both large and small, capturing their individual personality. Her figurative work is defined by a perfusion of color and form. Sue is recognized as a colorist. Her work has been accepted into many juried exhibits. Sue's work appears in private collections in Florida, California and Arizona. She is commissioned to do paintings of critters large and small with or without their human companions. Sue is a member of several professional art associations. She is an active member of Friends of the Art, Ventura College and helps raise scholarship funds for talented students. Sue donates artwork annually for auction fundraising. Buenaventura Art Gallery has accepted her work for exhibit in juried shows. She is also a member of Studio Channel Islands and the Westlake Art Association.

Family situations prevented Sue's study of art during her formal education. As often happens a life challenging chapter was a seque that gave her the means and way to achieve a repressed dream and begin  formal art education with outstanding professors at Ventura College. With mentors Robert Moskowitz, Beverly Decker, Carlisle Cooper and Hiroko Yoshimoto Sue's natural talent was challenged and developed.  Art is her passion and her paintings bring this force to life. Sue now paints full time, living on Camano Island, WA and exhibiting her work in and about the Western Washington peninsula.

Ted Morrison is an award winning photogrphic Artist with an eye for capturing the best that the environment has to offer. To Ted, the world we live in is both beautiful and amazing whether it be pristine wilderness, wildlife or weathered architecture. His portfolio includes sunrise and sunset images that are rich in color and shadow, coastal structures in varying degree of weathering, coastal land and seascapes, and wildlife that call the Pacific Coast their home.
